Manor Farm, located on the north side of School Lane, has an eighteenth and nineteenth century farmhouse. It is single storeyplus an attic, and is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar quoins and a slate ridge roof. This house may be the renmant of the manor house used by the Thorolds prior to its replacement by the present Hall in the early 18th century. It would represent the remains of the rear range of the older building, the front range having been demolished in the 19th century. The earlier house may have dated from the 16th century and a fireplace and window from this house are in the existing one. {3}
Manor Farm, Harmston. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with multiple regular yards. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within or in association with a village. {4}
