It is still in use as Potterhanworth Methodist Church. The street front has a tall central bay with a raised gable and stone copings and kneelers. The chapel is of an unusual polygonal plan and the two lateral bays are angled. The three bays facing the street have yellow brick dressings, including a stringcourse, and windows with ashlar sills and frames. The central bay contains a four-light geometric traceried window, set within a pointed recess, with yellow brick dressings and a pointed opening in the gable above. The ritually east end (north) is also angled and the central face is blank. The windows of the side elevations, separated by brick buttresses with stone cappings, have Y-tracery and yellow brick dressings and leaded coloured glass. The eaves course is of dogtooth brick. The slate roof has decorative ridge tiles and a finial. {4}
