Full Description

A Primitve Chapel was built on Barff Road in 1830, which was enlarged in 1872. It is present on the 1905 County Series map, but now appears to have been demolished. {1}{2}{3} The site was visited in 2009. The site is now partially vacant and partially built over. The former chapel is described in the English Heritage Inventory of Nonconformist chapels and Meeting Houses as built of brick and pantiles with an altered front and a tablet 'Enlarged 1872'. The chapel closed in 1944. {4}{5}{6}{7}
