Full Description

An excavation carried out prior to construction of the Market Deeping Bypass recorded north-east/south-west aligned ridge and furrow at NGR TF1321 1125, while a watching brief on the workers' compound recorded east/west aligned ridge and furrow at NGR TF1333 1123. {1} The remains of medieval ridge and furrow was record in May 2013, during magnetometry survey of land between Towngate East, Peterborough Road and Northfield Road, Market Deeping. The remains were identified as linear magnetic anomalies, on the same alignment as that previously recorded to the south of Northfield Road. {2}
