Full Description
PRN 54550
During a watching brief, two undated east/west aligned linear features were recorded, thought to be the remnants of medieval ridge and furrow or drainage/boundary ditches. A large depression may be a sand extractive pit/quarry or a former pond. Local sources suggest that a pond existed on the site within living memory, but if so, it does not appear on either the 1905 or the 1956 Ordnance Survey maps.{1}{2}
