Full Description

PRN 61367 A curvilinear ditch, aligned north/south, was recorded during a watching brief. The ditch was found to contain animal bone which appeared to be articulated, suggesting the disposal of dead livestock. Romano-British clay tile is indicative of structures in the vicinity, and it is postulated that this site could be related to the villa site at Cobham Hall (PRN 60868), and may indicate the partial extent of the agricultural land connected to the possible villa.The ditch may also be another section of the undated linear feature (PRN 60561) located at NGR TF14184369.{1}{2}
