Full Description
Several redeposited sherds of early Saxon pottery were recovered in June 1991, during the excavation of a part of a medieval cemetery site on land at London Road. The pottery dated to the 5th and 6th centuries, and was thought to indicate an earlier phase of activity in this part of Grantham, prior to the establishment of the medieval hospital in this vicinity. {1}{2}{3}
