Full Description

In 1929 the building formerly containing malting vats in Rectory Lane was converted into two houses. The old kiln ran at the east side of Maltkiln House garden, and the fireholes are still visible. The malting vat building had three floors. The main building with its hoist is in High Street. {1}{2} Maltkiln House is an eighteenth century building, which, together with its railings is listed.
