Full Description
Cropmarks of an enclosure interpreted as being prehistoric near the eastern end of Heath Lane, identified on aerial photography by the National Mapping Programme. {1}{2}
Traces of the enclosure were clearly identified in March 2014, during a magnetometry survey conducted on land off Heath Lane, Honington. The enclosure was recorded as a series of rectilinear ditches with a clear internal division running inside and parallel to the northern edge. The form of the enclosure would suggest it is of likely Iron Age or Romano-British date. {3}
