Full Description
During excavations of the Central Library site, the remains of the medieval Friary buildings were identified, and there was evidence for the continued use of the buildings on the site into the post-Friary period; of the refectory building, in particular. There was also evidence of post-medieval stone robbing from the site. The Grey Friars building, which still stands on the site, has had varied post-medieval uses. {1}{2}
