FIELDWALKING ON LAND ADJACENT TO THE CHURCH IDENTIFIED POTTERY FROM A NUMBER OF PERIODS INCLUDING FIFTEEN SHERDS OF ROMAN POTTERY. THIS IS PROBABLY THE RESULT OF MANURING FIELDS RATHER THAN THE SITE OF A SETTLEMENT. {1}
