60634 Coleby Hall is surrounded by an eighteenth century landscaped park with open ground surrounded by woodland to the east of the hall and parkland to the west with a pool. {1} There are a number of garden features of architectural note: a temple of Romulus and Remus (61913) at the end of an avenue designed by Sir William Chambers in 1762, A small temple to Pitt (61922). The present gateway (61914) is an imitation of a ruined Roman arch based on the Lincoln Newport arch. {2} The park is recorded on the first edition c.1880 and c.1905 Ordnance Survey maps. {3}{4}
