Full Description

PRN 60498 PART OF A 'NATIVE STYLE' ENCLOSURE DATING TO THE IRON AGE. A SHERD OF ANCASTER-BREEDON SCORED WARE, MIDDLE-LATE IRON AGE, POTTERY WAS FOUND IN THE FILL OF THE DITCH, PLUS 2 OTHER IRON AGE SHERDS AND ANIMAL BONE. {1} SEVERAL UNDATED FEATURES, INCLUDING DITCHES, A POSSIBLE PIT AND A STAKEHOLE WERE FOUND DURING A SUBSEQUENT WATCHING BRIEF ON THE SITE. THESE FEATURES ARE UNDATED, BUT MAY RELATE TO THE IRON AGE REMAINS FOUND PREVIOUSLY. {3} See also PRN 61576.
