Full Description
60484
A small pit was identified during trial trenching, which formed part of an evaluation, near the Branston Booths water pumping station. Recovered from the two fine sandy fills of this pit was a collection of 22 pieces of flint and chert. The assemblage included a triangular microlith, possible micrburin and core rejuvenation flake together with quantities of blades, flakes and chips. A late Mesolithic date is suggested by the composition of the assemblage. {1}{2}{3}{4}
