Full Description

A Romano-British pottery sherd was recovered in June 1997, during a watching brief for the installation of a new water pipeline along Ryland Road. The sherd was found in the fill of a ditch, thought to form part of a late Iron Age farmstead, and suggests that the site likely continued in use after the Roman conquest. {1}{2}
