A FLAT-TOPPED MOUND ABOUT 26FT ACROSS AT TOP, 7FT HIGH AND SURROUNDED BY A FITCH 15FT BROAD AND 3FT DEEP, WITH CAUSEWAY ON W SIDE. OVERALL DIAMETER ABOUT 100FT. THE MOUND STANDS IN THE MIDST OF MEDIEVAL RIDGE AND FURROW TO WHICH IT APPEARS TO BE RELATED - IT MAY BE THE SITE OF A PORT MILL, HENCE THE NAME BROKENBACK. {1} VERY OVERGROWN AND DIFFICULT TO SEE NOW; THE RIDGE AND FURROW HAVE BEEN PLOUGHED UP. {2}, AREA 0.25H, HEIGHT 2M, DIAMETRE 30M, HTM 15M
