OS MAP SHOWS A POND AT THIS LOCATION. {1} DURING A GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY OF FIVE SITES ON THE ROUTE OF THE BLYBOROUGH (LINCS) TO COTTAM (NOTTS) GAS PIPELINE, A SMALL OVAL ENCLOSURE WAS FOUND, AND WAS THOUGHT TO BE A LONG BARROW. THIS IS ALMOST CERTAINLY THE SITE OF AN OLD POND. {2} This site was investigated during the watching brief associated with the pipeline construction. No arcaheoogical finds or features were recorded. {3}
