Full Description

Earthwork remains of medieval or post-medieval activity, to the north of Lodge Farm, Corringham. The site comprises a number of probable former field boundaries, linking several probable rectilinear enclosures and a possible mound at the northern end. The mound may be a natural feature. Initial interpretation of part of the site as a moat-like feature are now thought to be unlikely, and are thought to rather just show a combination of former field boundaries. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}{2}{3}
