Full Description
PROBABLE SECOND WORLD WAR SEARCHLIGHT BATTERY AND GUN EMPLACEMENT. {1}
Earthworks of a gun emplacement have been noted in this field. They comprise two rings, one to the north, and the other to the south. The northern one was a gun ring, the function of the southern one is unknown. Nissan huts were known to have existed in the south west corner of the same field. There was also an ammunition store to the south east of the gun emplacement, and it is thought that there may have been around 100 troops there at some point. {3}
