RECENT FINDS ON THE KNOWN ROMAN SITES INCLUDE A SMALL BRONZE AWL OF BEAKER TYPE, AND THE BUTT END OF A STONE AXE WITH FLATTENED SIDES. NOW IN SCUNTHORPE MUSEUM. {1}{2}
THE AWL WAS FOUND IN NOVEMBER 1970. {3}
A LATE BRONZE AGE SPEARHEAD WITH A FLATTENED SQUARED SOCKET AND PEG HOLES AND MOST OF THE BLADE MISSING, FROM THE ROMAN SITE AT OWMBY WAS REPORTED IN 1973. {4}{5}
A POLISHED FLINT AXE FOUND AT SK96928673. {1}
FINDS FROM THE ROMAN SITE IN THE COLLECTION OF H MOSSOP IN 1970-3 INCLUDES BRONZE AGE FLINTS. {5}
A FRAGMENT OF THE BUTT OF A STONE AXE OF GROUP VI FOUND AT SK96968675 AS A SURFACE FIND AFTER PLOUGHING. {1}{2}
WORKED FLINTS FOUND DURING FIELDWALKING IN SPRING 1978 BY NLAU AND REPORTED BY NAOMI FIELD. {7}{8}
