Full Description

PRN 53905 The remains of a ridge and furrow field system are visible on aerial photographs. {1} The two blocks of ridge and furrow adjacent to Middle Farm still survive as earthworks in November 1999. {2} During a watching brief carried out in part of the field to the west of Middle Farm, variations in subsoil which corresponded directly with the ridge and furrow were observed. The earthworks were reinstated following the completion of the work. {3}{4} The earthworks immediately around Green Lane Farm are intact but the fields to the east and west have been levelled and are under arable cultivation. {5}
