Full Description
IN A SMALL, DISTINCT AREA CENTRED ON THIS LOCATION WERE FOUND NUMEROUS PREHISTORIC ARTEFACTS BETWEEN 1957 AND 1963. FINDS INCLUDES FLINT ARROWHEADS (BOTH LEAF SHAPED AND BARBED AND TANGED), 4 PLANO-CONVEX KNIVES, AND MESOLITHIC FLINTS AND A ROUGH STONE HAND-AXE. ALSO FOUND WERE FRAGMENTS OF BRONZE AGE AND IRON AGE POTTERY. {1}{2}
