PRN 53495
MECHANICAL EXCAVATION OF GRAVEL ON A SMALL SCALE AT WINGHALE PRIORY REVEALED THREE DITCH SECTIONS IN THE PIT FACE. SHORT STRETCHES OF THE DITCHED WERE EXCAVATED. FINDS INCLUDE IRON AGE POTTERY, AND ROMANO-BRITISH GREY, COARSE, COLOUR-COATED AND SAMIAN WARES, ANIMAL BONE AND SLAG. IN SCUNTHORPE MUSEUM. {1}{2}
