Full Description
PRN 53312
A ROMAN SITE WAS FOUND HERE DURING FIELDWALKING. FINDS INCLUDE GREY WARE, DALESWARE TYPE, COLOUR-COATED WARE, 2 SHERDS OF MORTARIA AND 1 OF SAMIAN, TILE (INCLUDING TEGULA), QUERN STONE FRAGMENTS, A COIN OF VALENS AND OYSTER SHELLS. THIS SITE APPEARS TO BE MASKED BY BLOWN SAND DEPOSITS AND SO COULD BE LARGER THAN THE FINDS SCATTER SUGGESTS. {1}
