The settlement of Reasby is invariably returned as a member of Stainton in medieval taxation records: there were 6 households listed in 1563 and 5 in 1841, two of them being farms out in the fields. Slight earthworks visible on early aerial photographs have now largely been ploughed up. {1}{2}{3}
