Full Description

A SERIES OF DITCHES RUNNING EAST-WEST CONTAINING SHERDS OF ROMAN POTTERY. ALSO THREE LARGE POSTHOLES OR SMALL PITS WERE RECORDED, ALSO CONTAINING ROMAN POTTERY. DESPITE THE PRESENCE OF THESE PITS/POSTHOLES, THERE IS NO POSITIVE EVIDENCE OF STRUCTURES ON THE SITE. THE CHARACTER OF THE DITCHES SUGGESTS THAT THEY FORM PART OF A FIELD DRAINAGE SYSTEM. {1}
