Full Description

PRN 52296 The post medieval village remains include earthworks to the north and east of the church. Some of the village was destroyed by emparking. The layout of Burton is indicated on redrawn estate maps from about 1600. {1}{2}{3} During a watching brief centred at SK 960 746 six sherds of 17th to 18th century pottery were recovered. {4}{5}
