Full Description
The remains of two probable pits were recorded in this location in February 1994, during archaeological monitoring of new development to the rear of 22a The Green, Scotter. No artefacts were recovered from the features, however, and their exact date and function remains unknown. {1}{2}
Further undated features were recorded in this location in April 1994, during archaeological monitoring of new development on land at plot A, Church Lane, Scotter. The monitoring recorded the remains of a former foundation trench or possible pit, with traces of mortar and masonry being identified in its fill. The feature was thought to represent the probable remains of a robbed-out wall of unknown date. {3}{4}
