Full Description

Earthwork remains of medieval ridge and furrow, around Usselby watermill. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1} Further traces of medieval ridge and furrow were recorded to the south of those previously recorded by the NMP, during trial trenching conducted in November 2012. The remains were identified as linear earthworks, aligned on a north-north-west to south-south-east axis, and perpendicular to those previously recorded. {2}{3}
