IN THE MEDIEVAL PERIOD THE SETTLEMENT OF SAXBY INCLUDED A GRANGE OF ST. KATHERINE'S PRIORY AT LINCOLN. ALTHOUGH AT THE BEGINNING OF THE C18 'RUINES...OF HOUSES, FISHPONDS ETC, WHICH BELONG'D TO AN ANCIENT PRIORY' WERE STILL VISIBLE, EVEN THE SITE IS NOW UNKNOWN. {1}~
