Full Description

The fragmentary remains of a large early Bronze Age collared urn was found in 1982, during excavations of an early medieval cist burial at Chapel Lane (see PRN51110). The vessel was found in a hollow in the bedrock, and there were no associated finds or cremated bone. Cord-impressed decoration was visible on the rim and collar of the pot but too little remained to be able to reconstruct a profile of the pot. {1}{2}
