Full Description
A ROMAN SITE WITH POTTERY ETC. FOUND BY ETHEL RUDKIN BEFORE 1950. IN 1964 FEATHERSTON REPORTED THAT THE FIELD CONTAINING THE SITE WAS UNDER PLOUGH AND ISOLATED SHERDS OF COARSE BLACK AND GREY POTTERY WERE FOUND WITHIN A FEW YARDS OF THE SITE ON FIELDWALKING. MRS RUDKIN CONFIRMED THE SITE LOCATION AND HAD RETAINED THE POTTERY WHICH WAS MAINLY LATE C3 TO C4. {1}~
