Full Description

A ROMAN SITE WITH POTTERY ETC. FOUND BY ETHEL RUDKIN BEFORE 1950. IN 1964 FEATHERSTON REPORTED THAT THE FIELD CONTAINING THE SITE WAS UNDER PLOUGH AND NOTHING OF SIGNIFICANCE WAS FOUND ON FIELDWALKING. MRS RUDKIN CONFIRMED THE SITE LOCATION AND HAD RETAINED THE POTTERY WHICH WAS MAINLY LATE C3 TO C4. {1} Undated cropmarks have been noted in the vicinity of this site (see PRN 54104). {3}
