WADDINGHAM COMPRISED TWO MEDIEVAL PARISHES BELONGING TO THE CHURCHES OF ST. MARY AND ST. PETER. BOTH CHURCHES ARE SAID TO HAVE STOOD IN THE SAME GRAVEYARD, THOUGH THEY WERE ADMINISTRATIVELY IN DIFFERENT DEANERIES. DEMOLITION OF ONE (APPARENTLY ST. PETER'S) FOLLOWED UNION OF THE PARISHES IN 1685. {1}~
