Full Description

A trackway or possible road of probable Roman date, to the south of Rose Cottage, Spridlington Heath. The feature is visible as a linear cropmark, running along a roughly south-west to north-east axis for approximately 550m. It appears to have a direct relationship with an area of probable Roman settlement activity at its north-eastern end (see MLI53997), but may also have an association with more extensive Roman routeways in this area (see MLI51456). Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}{2}
