Full Description

PRN 50363 POSSIBLE UNKNOWN DATE CROPMARK LINEAR FEATURE. {1}{2} This ditch was sectioned during work on the British Gas pipeline. Its depth was 1.42m and its width was approximately 2.6m. The tertiary fill contained bone fragments from a cattle pelvis. Although no dateable material was recovered, it is possible that this ditch is in some way connected to the flint scatter (55276) through which it runs as there is a noticable gap in the flint distribution which could be explained if the ditch were contemporary.{3}
