Full Description

Cropmarks of an irregular double-ditched curvilinear feature, probably a former linear boundary or trackway. The feature is aligned on a roughly north to south axis and is visible for about 1.5km from SK 9644 8335 to SK 9672 8192 (see also MLI52112, which seems to be a southern continuation of this feature). This site was seen on Paul Everson aerial photographs of 1977 and 1979. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5} The feature is thought to be of probable prehistoric or Roman date, with this northern section visible as cropmarks of two parallel ditches, situated between 8m and 13m apart. They extend in a sinuous line roughly north to south. {6}
