Old Abbey Farm is located to the south of Kirkstead Abbey, and dates to the eighteenth century. It incorporates some reused stonewrok from the abbey. During a watching brief, a brick floor (built from reused fifteenth century bricks) and a well were revealed. These were interpreted as being associated with the construction and alterations of the farmhouse. {1}{2}
A farmhouse dating from the late 18th century which underwent alterations in the 19th century. It was constructed of squared limestone rubble and ashlar blocks, which are probably reused from Kirkstead Abbey, and has a pantile roof with three brick gable stacks. Old Abbey Farm, Woodhall Spa. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Loose courtyard with three sides of the courtyard formed by working agricultural buildings. The farmhouse is detached with the gable end facing on to the yard. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. {4}
