THE SITE OF A MOAT WHICH WAS PLOUGHED OUT IN 1964. POTTERY AND BUILDING MATERIAL HAD BEEN EVIDENT IN THE PLOUGH SOIL. MEDIEVAL POTSHERDS WERE PICKED UP AROUND THE EDGE. {1}{2} Earthworks identified in this area are also interpreted as the remains of crofts. {3}
