DESPITE ITS NAME AND THE LOCAL TRADITION OF ASSOCIATION WITH THE SITE OF THE BATTLE OF WINCEBY (11TH OCTOBER 1643) IT SEEMS MORE LIKELY THAT THE SMALL 'HILLS' WERE BARROWS AND POSSIBLY OF ANGLO-SAXON DATE, SEE PRN 42273 AND 42274. {1}{2}
