Full Description

St Peter's Church, Skendleby was much restored in 1875 but retains some original Early English (13th century) features including lancet windows. {1}{2} 3} White notes that the church was appropriated to Bardney Abbey by Gilbert de Gaunt before 1094. {4} A parish church dating from the 13th century which underwent alteration in the 14th century. It was restored in 1875 by G. G. Scott. The church was constructed of ashlar with dressed greenstone to the chancel and some stock brick and has slate roofs.
