Full Description

All Saints’ Church or All Hallows dates from at least about 1300 with the nave of this date and the tower added to the existing church in the early 14th century. The church retains both Perpendicular and Decorated features and was restored in 1700. {1}{2}{3}{4} This church dates to about 1300 with some 15th century work. The tower was partly rebuilt in about 1700. The building is built of squared greenstone rubble and red brick with slate roofs. On the south side the above the 19th century porch, the scar of a more steeply pitched earlier porch can be seen. Inside there is an octagonal 15th century font and in the chancel is a cross-legged knight of about 1300 wearing chain mail and surcoat.
