Full Description
House dating from the 16th century, with alterations of c.1680, the late 18th century and the 19th century. It is of red brick, and features a blue pantile roof with 2 brick ridge chimney stacks. The building is laid to an H-shaped plan form, probably originally being an open hall with gabled cross wings. It is of two storeys, with garrets to the wings, and has a three-bay front with plinth and easves band. The interior retains two heavily moulded beams in the centre of the likely early hall, along with a late 17th century dog leg staircase. Other older beams in the house are chamfered with shield stops, and there is a fine early 18th century fire surround with mantle and panel over.
