Full Description
Placename evidence for Manor House. {1}
Earthworks were observed on aerial photographs as part of the national mapping programme. Three moats were identified (TF 4723 8880 also linked to PRN 41412 supposed moat) (TF 4714 8869) (TF 4701 8882); There were also 2 trackways, one (TF 4716 8873) appearing to link together 2 moats, and enclosures, and the second {TF 4690 8868) leading from the 'Manor' area towards the church. There was also associated enclosures noted at (TF 4699 88741); (TF 4711 8889); (TF 4715 8874); (TF 4711 8865). {2}
Earthworks were observed on a site visit during 2004 as part of the Lincolnshire Coastal Grazing Marsh project. The nature of the earthworks was not recorded. {3}
