Full Description

The limestone base of a medieval cross is situated within the churchyard of the Church of St Nicholas, a short distance to the south-east of the church's south porch. It measures 35" square and 16" deep at the base, rising through moulded and chamfered corners to a top of octagonal section. The socket, into which the cross shaft and head would have formerly been fitted, measures 10" square. {1}{2}
