PRN 41359 SITE OF TOWER WINDMILL. {1}{2}{3}, HTM 3M THIS TOWER MILL REPLACED A POST MILL IN 1835 AND WORKD UNTIL GALE DAMAGE FORCED ITS RETIREMENT IN 1908. IT NOW STANDS TO JUST BELOW CURB LEVEL AND IS USED AS A STORE, THOUGH IT HAS DEVELOPED A PRONOUNCED LEAN, PROBABLY DUE TO SHALLOW FOUNDATIONS. WHEN WORKING IS HAD 3 PAIRS OF STONES POWERED BY 2 DOUBLE SIDED PATENT SAILS.{4}
