Full Description

The Church of St Bartholomew is of early Decorated period but much modernised. Possesses octagonal font of 15th century. {1}{2}{3}{4} The church was made redundant in 1981. Its font was subsequently removed to the Church of All Saints, Newton Heath, Manchester. {5} Stained glass in this church dates to the 14th century. {6} A parish church, now closed, dating from the 13th century. It underwent alterations in the 14th and 15th centuries and in 1854. It was restored in 1863 by Rogers and Marsden of Louth. It was upgraded to a II star listed building in 2010.
