Full Description

SITE OF 'PORCH HOUSE', DEMOLISHEDc.1964. 16TH OR 17TH CENTURY DATE, BRICK BUILT WITH PORCH OR MOULDED BRICKWORK DECORATION. SOME WORKED STONE IN DEMOLITION RUBBLE APPEARED TO FORM PART OF POINTED ARCHES FROM CROCKETED ARCADING? AND POSSIBLY 14TH CENTURY DATE. STONE ORIGINALLY FORMED LOWER PART OF THE CHIMNEY. PHOTOGRAPHS CONTAINED IN PARISH FILE. {1}{2}{3}, HTM 6M Site of farm, Sibsey. Demolished 19th century farmstead. Loose courtyard with three sides of the courtyard formed by working agricultural buildings. The farmhouse was detached from the main working complex. Located within a loose farmstead cluster. {4}
