Full Description

St Helen's Church, East Keal was much rebuilt in 1854 to 1855 but retains an Early English (13th century arcade with clustered pillars and a 14th century north arcade. The font dates to the 14th century and the tower arch is Perpendicular in date (1180AD to around 1520AD). {1}{2}{3}{4} A parish church dating from the 13th century which underwent alterations in the 14th century and was restored and rebuilt externally with the tower in 1853 to 1854 by Stephen Lewin. The church was constructed of greenstone, ashlar and yellow brickwork and has slate roofs.
