Full Description
A 16th century homestead moat and the site of the mansion of the Spanish Guevara family. {1}{2}
It has a strong dry moat 70m long and 66m transversely. The depth of the moat is 1.8m below the natural ground surface. No visible buildings remain. The area is now (1963 and 1977) under conifer plantation. {3}
There is large undressed stone dumped in the ditch from the adjacent fields, possibly from the deserted site. {4}
